Shallow love won’t get you far in life. The nature of love is that it changes us. Love requires cooperation, compromise, meeting somewhere in the middle. Not needing to have my way all the time. Love yields. It forgives. Endures. It waits patiently for the immature. Without deep roots there can be no fruit. If love is not growing it is dying. Your love will be tested. Either you grow and adapt to the new seasons of life, or love won’t last. If you can’t be there in the hard times, then why show up in the good times? If love does not grow it dies.
