Don’t listen to them and continue to write your beautiful poetry
I love Medium, it’s a great platform, but sometimes I get tired of all the “How to Make Money on Medium” articles.
Of course, we want to make money from our work. Who doesn’t? I appreciate a few tips now and again.
What I don’t appreciate though, is people who only write for money, telling us not to waste our time writing poetry.
One of the greatest things I discovered about myself on Medium is that I like writing poems.
And without the beautiful, inspiring poets here, I may never have tapped into that gift.
I’m so grateful to Medium and the poets here for inspiring me.
It doesn’t matter if I don’t get rich writing poetry because I enjoy it so much.
But, that doesn’t mean I won’t make money writing poems here.
We are showcasing our work, and we can also compile our poems into poetry books, which many writers have already done.
So, dear poets, keep writing and inspiring!
